This observational documentary, filmed over two years, follows Zach, Tyrson and Rusty in a youth programme that Bernie runs from a shed on the outskirts of Armidale, a rural Australian town in New South Wales. On the road, the boys find their voice, make great friendships and the dogs become national champions. But as the boys sleep under the stars at night the trauma is never too far away. With their survival and futures at stake they must constantly step up, push themselves and each other. Some days can be hard.

An uncomfortable emotional reality, expressed by young boys coming to with their troubled lives.
The adversity they have travelled and acknowledgement of their at risk behaviours, follows their self determination too reprogram their thinking styles. This is a monumental achievement giving hope to all young people and carers.
The ion of one man to start a way forward using what tools he knows best, his dogs, clean living, family, love and dedication.
This film should be introduce into the school curriculum for late primary and senior students.
